Are you intrigued by human behaviour and do you want to understand why people engage in certain (unhealthy) behaviour? Are you interested in helping individuals to improve or maintain their health behaviour, health and well-being? Do you like working with a diverse set of groups such as employees, children, older people, patients or even health professionals, and would you like to know how best to address their health problems, how to motivate them to change unhealthy behaviour, find out what reasons they could have for their behaviour? Would you like to contribute to environments and organisations that are conducive to healthy living? If the answer is yes, then this programme might be the best choice for you!

This is a one-year full-time or two-year part-time program taught in English.

  • the tools to develop new theory- and empirical-based health education and promotion programs and policies;
  • competences in developing communication strategies to disseminate programs to various audiences.

  • Basic theoretical, methodological and statistical skills
  • A background in health sciences or a related field, and/or professional training as e.g. a nurse, physician, physiotherapist or dietician

TOEFL Paper-delivered Test: Reading 20-30; Listening 20-30; Writing 20-30 (However we recommend you to take one of the other tests in this list instead.)

Cambridge Advanced (CAE): Grade C (scale 180-184); First Certificate in English (FCE): Grade A (scale 180-184) or Grade B (scale 176-179)

We put emphasis on health behaviour. This is really important nowadays, as the solutions for important societal challenges, such as decreasing health problems, improving sustainability and creating healthy environments to a large part depends on the behaviour of humans. Having passion, knowledge and skills to analyse, understand and improve human (health) behaviour is therefore very valuable.
